Hallo. Sigmund Luck here. I've recently heard of a new malady afflicting the masses known as Post Subway Series Traumatic Syndrome. This is when we suddenly discover that the contest between New York-based baseball titans has come and gone and life is still a fishbowl from Hell. What is one to do? A typical psychologist would respond, "What do you think you should do? That'll be 75 dollars, thank you." I, however, recommend that you take it in stride. Treat yourself to a couple extra Prozac, an extra helping of Viagra or a hot fudge sundae. Take a nice laxative. Life is full of options.

By the way, don't forget to vote on November 7th. If you have trouble deciding, allow me to offer you some assistance here also. You basically have three choices.

• Column A, George W, a slightly dull fellow who likes to lower taxes and kill folks.
• Column B, Al Gore, a real smart guy who likes to talk a lot and French kiss his wife on network TV.
• Column C, Homer Simpson, who is the embodiment of American culture in the 21st century. Of course, you'll have to write in for this candidate since he's unfortunately not on the ballot.
